The BillionDollarArtGallery can be viewed in three ways:
- The Display Video includes paintings, music and captions, and is the easiest way to play all the media at once. Depending on the product and version, the video may have more than one video file. The Display Video file often begins with 0000 so that it appears toward the top of the file list.
- The Party Mode video is designed to provide beauty and atmosphere during a party. Party Mode videos include images that are cropped to fill the screen, and the images persist for three minutes each. No music or captions play.
- All individual files can also be displayed using your TV's photo show. The BillionDollarArtGallery includes all paintings in numbered files so that you can mix and match paintings or images as you like by creating sub-directories with your own groupings of images. (This requires a computer because TVs cannot manage files.) Most TVs can only perform one action at a time – for instance, play a slide show – but some newer TVs can also play music at the same time, so the music is also included as an MP3 file. During a photo show, many TVs can also display file names of individual files that include the name of the painting, the name of the painting, the year painted, and the museum where the art can be seen.

File Organization
BillionDollarArtGallery products have evolved over the years. Originally, most files were in the main directory like this:
In late 2023, files were stored in separate directories by function. This enables users to set a file on "Repeat" without repeating all files in that directory. Most users choose to run the main video and repeat it, so the BillionDollarArtGallery video is in the main or "root" directory.
