How do I play the music on the BillionDollarArtGallery?

Modified on Sat, Jun 24, 2023 at 9:04 AM

Many recent model televisions can play both slideshows and music at the same time. The BillionDollarArtGallery includes a separate music file called:

BillionDollarArtGallery Theme Music by Alex Cap.mp3

However, older TVs can only perform one operation at time, so they cannot play music while displaying the paintings. Not to worry: your BillionDollarArtGallery includes a video that includes music, captions, and paintings in one easy-to-play file.

Play the video, which includes music and captions.

Because TVs are not standardized – each has a different image presentation system with different buttons that can be confusing – you can play the BillionDollarArtGallery video directly from your USB device. After showing the painting for 5 seconds, the video displays the name of the painting, the name of the painter, the year it was painted, and where you can see the original. By seeing the painting before the information, you can test your knowledge, and begin to learn more about the paintings. The BillionDollarArtGallery video is called:

0000 Video BillionDollarArtGallery-UHD Video-Titles and Music [2GB].mp4

The 0000 Video makes it easy to find: “0000” causes the video to sort to the top of your file list. Depending on your TV, you may need to tell your TV that you are looking specifically for video files. The video is an MP4, which plays on virtually all TVs that support video on USB ports. If you do not want to hear the music on the video, tap the MUTE button on your TV's remote control.

If you do not hear the music

1. Make sure you are playing the video file that starts with "0000" or is called "Video BillionDollarArtGallery" If you are playing another video called Party Mode, you will not hear music because Party Mode has no music: it is designed to display pleasant images that fill the screen for about 3 minutes each.

2. Your TV is set to mute.
Increase the volume on your TV's remote control.

3. For some reason, your TV does not play sound and video from MP4 files at the same time.
We have never encountered that, but you might try another MP4 file to ensure that the TV can play audio from an MP4 file.

What if your TV does not play videos?

If you do not see the videos, you may have a Roku TV: play the videos through the Roku Media App.  You may also have an Android TV that requires a video app: install the free VLC Video Player.

Some older TVs do not play videos. Insignia TVs from BestBuy do not support video from USB ports. You can also play video on your TV from peripherals such as DVD players with USB ports, a Roku Ultra with a USB port, or a media player like the AGPtek, available for about $40 on Amazon.

If you cannot play the music or the video on your TV...
Every TV is different, so please submit a support ticket with your TV's make and model number, and we will download your TV's manual and send you a procedure within 24 hours.
