Why doesn't the music work?

Modified on Sat, Jan 13 at 3:00 PM

If you cannot hear the music while playing the video, try these solutions:

1. Your TV is set to mute.
Increase the volume on your TV's remote control. Do not use the cable remote control.

2. Your sound bar or other separate sound system is disconnected or muted.

Make sure the sound bar is on, and use the sound bar remote control to turn up the volume

3. Make sure you are playing the video file that starts with "0000" or is called "Video BillionDollarArtGallery

4. If you are playing another video called Party Mode, you will not hear music because Party Mode has no music: it is designed to display pleasant images that fill the screen for about 3 minutes each.

5. You are playing the slide show, which has no sound. The slide show is similar to the video, but it does not display the captions or play music. Some advanced LG TVs (OLED) can play music and slideshows at the same time, but you will need to launch the slideshow and separate play the music. Most earlier TVs can only play either music or a slideshow: that is, only one function at a time.

6. For some reason, your TV does not play sound and video from MP4 files at the same time.
We have never encountered that, but you might try another MP4 file to ensure that your TV can play audio from an MP4 file.

SOUND AND VIDEO

The video and the sound are built into the same video file, so, if the video is playing, the sound is also playing: if the video is being presented, some piece of hardware such as the TV, sound bar, or amplifier is not producing sound.
