How can I change the timing of paintings?

Modified on Sun, Jan 5 at 11:37 PM

Generally, TV manufacturers do no enable you to display an image for more than about 20 seconds. This practice goes back to older plasma TVs that would often "burn in" an image if displayed too long.

However, you can display the images longer with these techniques:

Use a TV designed specifically to play art and photos for a longer duration.

As of January 2025, the only TVs specifically designed to display images over prolonged periods are the Samsung Frame, the HiSense CanvasTV, the Fire TV Omni, and the TCL NXTFRAME.

Extend the slideshow timing on your standard TV.

Every TV is different, but slideshows usually have Slow, Normal and Fast display times per image in the slideshow software. Below are the SETTINGS and SPEED selection on an LG OLED TV. Slow will display paintings for a longer duration.

Videos are pre-defined, so their timing cannot be changed.

Play the Party Mode video.

The BillionDollarArtGallery contains a video designed to show a selection of paintings that have been cropped to fill the screen for about 3 minutes each. You will find this video in the Party Mode Video directory. This video is meant to display at parties.
