How can I watch the BillionDollarArtGallery on Apple TV?

Modified on Mon, Oct 7 at 9:23 PM

Apple TV is an external streaming device like a Roku or Amazon Fire. The Apple TV Player plugs into a monitor or standard TV through the HDMI port.

Here are several ways that Apple TV owners can play the BillionDollarArtGallery:

If your TV has a USB port, you can plug the BillionDollarArtGallery directly into your TV, and use your TV's remote (NOT the Apple TV remote) to play the BillionDollarArtGallery video. For more information about your display TV, see other support pages here about your make and model of TV.

If your TV does not have a USB port, you may have a USB port in an attached device such as a DVD player. In that case, use the remote control from the DVD player to play the BillionDollarArtGallery, and use the TV's remote to choose input from the DVD player.

If your TV does not have a USB port, you can also choose from many inexpensive media players that include a USB player, and attach by HDMI cable or RCA jacks to your TV.  Here are two:

Neumi Atom $34.99 at Amazon

Micca Spec $52.99 at Amazon

Apple TV takes its input from a network connection:

  • through a local networked computer (Home Sharing),
  • from servers on the internet; for photos that can be in iCloud Photo Library,
  • AirPlay from a network connected mobile device or computer.

To play a video on Apple TV, you can:

  • Use AirPlay
    1. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV
    2. Find the video you want to stream
    3. Tap the AirPlay button
    4. Choose your Apple TV from the list
  • Use the Apple TV app
    1. Open the Apple TV app on your smart TV, streaming device, or gaming console
    2. Open the sidebar, then select Home
    3. Navigate to a movie, TV show, or event you want to watch, then select it
  • Import media from your Mac
    1. Go to the Apple TV app on your Mac
    2. Choose File > Import
    3. Locate a file or folder, then click Open
If you're having trouble playing a video, you can:
  • Check the System Status page for service interruptions
  • Check a third-party provider's website for any interruptions
  • Try to stream or watch the video later
