Below are instructions for using the BillionDollarArtGallery with Insignia Fire TVs. Insignia TVs vary from model to model. Please send your TV model number for the best support response, or search our Knowledge Base for your TV's manual.
Important
- You MUST use the Insignia Remote Control. A FIOS, ATT or other remote control does not access your TV’s USB ports.
- Most Insignia TVs do NOT display videos from the USB port.

The gold contacts in the BillionDollarArtGallery should face the plastic “tongue” in the USB port.
Insignia is a product made by BestBuy, and uses the Amazon Fire system to display content. Insignia TVs come with a large sheet (rather than a booklet) for documentation, and there is no detailed documentation on the web about accessing the USB port.
The specifications for the Insignia Fire TV note that it includes:
- USB input - Connect a USB to extend the duration of live TV pause from 2 minutes up to 60 minutes. Easily connect your digital camera or other USB device to view compatible photo and video files.
The BillionDollarArtGallery files are industry-standard JPG image and MP4 video files that should play on virtually every device that displays image and video files.
We called Insignia’s 877-467-44289 support number; after a long hold time, we asked the question, “How can you play photos or videos from a USB device on an Insignia Fire TV?” The agent immediately hung up. We called again, and the new agent said that the device, “only plays PNG image files, does not play videos, and must be formatted for USB FAT32.” However, we purchased an Insignia TV, and found that the JPG files of the paintings play well.
