Below are instructions for using the BillionDollarArtGallery with a Sony Bravia KDL-55HX800. Sony Bravia TVs vary from model to model. Please send your TV model number for the best support response, or search our Knowledge Base for your TV's manual.
SPECIFICATIONS
The KDL-55HX800 was manufactured in 2010, and has one USB port. This TV's manual contains very little information about the USB port, but the TV does include an "iManual" that you can access from your remote control:
USB 2.0
1 (Side) : Photo (JPEG, RAW), Music (MP3), Video (AVC, AVCHD, MPEG4, DivX)
This TV supports only the FAT32 format. If your TV does not recognize the BillionDollarArtGallery, please contact us at support@memsender.com

Inserting Your BillionDollarArtGallery into the USB Port
The USB port is a rectangular port (not the trapezoidal shape of the HDMI port). The gold connectors on the BillionDollarArtGallery should face the plastic “tongue” in the USB port
Playing Photos/Music/Videos
IMPORTANT: Use the TV remote – NOT the cable remote.
- Press HOME, then select → [Photos], [Music] or [Videos] → the desired USB device. We recommend that you try the video first, which will display all 500 paintings with captions, and play the music. (If you don’t want to hear the music, press the MUTE button.)
- Select files or folders to play from the list. Choose 0000 Video ….
The INPUT button on your TV Remote can also be helpful in finding the USB port.
Further Support
Televisions, like computers, can require periodic “re-booting” to clear their memories. If you are having intermittent problems, try unplugging your TV and plugging it back in. Yes, that seems odd, but this has solved many people’s problems, and features in many YouTube videos including this Sony video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLkyFXv2-i4
Check for unusable USB ports. Some Sony TVs have a USB port that is ONLY available for use by technicians in gathering data about the TV. These ports are not easily distinguishable because they are noted as “Service Only” in black plastic that is not easy to read. They are usually on the back of the TV.
If you still are having difficulty running your BillionDollarArtGallery, please schedule a Zoom call with us. By using the camera on your phone, we can see what you are seeing, and we can better solve your problem.
Our goal is to ensure that you can enjoy the greatest museum in history in your own home.
The DISCOVER button searches for content on your TV. “To change the Discover settings, press the OPTIONS button while Discover is displayed, then select the desired item.”
