- Insert the BillionDollarArtGallery in your TV's USB port.
2. Using the Sony TV remote (NOT the cable remote), press the Discover or Home button until you find the USB port.
Discover Button
The DISCOVER button on the remote is supposed to discover content. Once in Discover mode, choose Options to change discover options. This may help find the USB port.
In the Discover section, Sony notes: “Some option settings require the TV’s clock to be set.”
The easiest way to run the BillionDollarArtGallery is to choose a video, which plays the paintings, captions and music in hour+ loops. The videos have names like:
0000 Video…
This ensures that the file is at the top of the file stack. You may have to search for videos rather than photos.
You can also display any painting, and the Sony slideshow software will begin to play the paintings, though without captions and music.
Sony support also provides this procedure for viewing USB files:
You can enjoy photo/music/video files stored in a Sony digital still camera or camcorder through a USB cable or USB storage device on your TV.
The USB port is a rectangular port (not the trapezoidal shape of the HDMI port). The gold connectors on the BillionDollarArtGallery should face the plastic “tongue” in the USB port.
- Connect a supported USB device to the TV.
- Press the HOME button on the remote.
- Press Up/Down arrow then Enter to select Media.
- Press Up/Down arrow then Enter to select Photo, Music or Video.
- Device Selection appears.
- Press Up/Down arrow then Enter to select a device.
- Press Up/Down/Left/Right arrow then Enter to select a file or folder.
If you have a Roku Ultra, DVD player with USB input, or other media player, you can also play the BillionDollarArtGallery in the Roku Ultra or your external media player.

Troubleshooting
If your TV does not recognize the BillionDollarArtGallery:
- Check your BillionDollarArtGallery on a computer if you have one. If you have removed your memory stick without "ejecting" it, the stick may have been corrupted or erased. Checking the files in a computer will confirm that the files are still there. If the stick is erased, please submit a ticket here for a warranty replacement.
- Check to make sure your TV's USB port is for sharing photos and videos. Some old TVs are stamped, "Service Tech Only" near the USB port; this is rare, but those USB ports cannot be used by consumers. Similarly, the USB port in your cable box is for technicians only. When it exists, the service port is usually on the back with consumer port on the side.
- Try re-booting the TV by unplugging it, waiting for 1 minute, and plugging it in again. TVs are like computers that can sometimes benefit from re-starting.
- Update your TV's software. (Many people have never updated their TV's software.)
- Some TVs such as Android or Google TVs will play videos, but may require the installation of a video app. If you need a video app, we suggest the free VLC Media Player.
- Most TVs are formatted for FAT32, which is the format used for the BillionDollarArtGallery.
- BillionDollarArtGallery supports photo files as JPGs, videos as MP4s, and music as MP3. If your TV requires a different video format, please submit a ticket here.
